Two Newark law enforcement officials have been stabbed whereas responding to a home violence name inside a house, town’s public security director confirmed.
The officers have been heading to the 600 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard round 4:45 p.m. Thursday after calls of home violence, Newark Public Security Director Fritz Fragé stated. After arriving on the scene, a person allegedly stabbed each officers.
The 2 officers have been taken to College Hospital for remedy, stated Fragé, and each are anticipated to survive.
The suspect was taken into custody with out additional incident. An investigation is ongoing.
