Some 15 754 citizens took part in the advance poll special from Thursday to Sunday in the framework of the municipal elections in Ottawa.
The polls were open for the occasion at the place Ben Franklin, at the town hall, recreation Centre François-Dupuis, at the community Centre Greenboro, at the recreation Complex, Minto and the recreation Complex Richcraft.
On 12 October, will be the advance voting traditional so that the citizens can vote in their district, between 10 h and 20-h.
The big day of voting is Monday, October 22.
There are twelve candidates certified for the position of mayor, including the outgoing mayor, Jim Watson.
The City of Ottawa has 23 districts. Municipal councillors, outgoing in 19 districts seek another term. Not less than 102 candidates are fighting in all the neighbourhoods.
The municipal elections are also an opportunity to elect the trustees.
The rate of participation in the municipal elections of 2014 in Ottawa was 39.9 %.
Approximately 634 000 people go to the polls in the elections of 2018.
