A woman of The Fishing has been arrested for driving under the influence while her 5-year old child was in the vehicle.
The 47 year old female went to a primary school to Wakefield to fetch his child at daycare. She was heavily intoxicated by alcohol.
Citizens, witnesses of the situation, tried in vain to dissuade the woman from leaving with her child.
She then moved to his home where the police of the MRC des Collines de l’outaouais proceeded to the arrest.
At the station, she submitted to a breathalyzer test, and has obtained results exceeding 3 times the limit permitted by law.
His driving licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was seized for 30 days.
A request for formal charges will be made to the director of criminal and penal prosecutions.
