Hydro Ottawa has announced a power outage scheduled for Sunday morning from 4am to 4: 30am. The blackout scheduled to affect more than 48 000 customers of Hydro Ottawa, and over 2 000 Hydro One customers.
The affected districts include Bay, College, Capital, Kitchissippi, Somerset, River, Knoxdale-Merivale, Barrhaven, Gloucester-Nepean South, Rideau-Goulbourn and Osgoode.
For some customers, the outage will be temporary. For others, it could take 30 minutes.
The repair work will continue after the post-processing Merivale Hydro One has been heavily damaged by a tornado on 21 September. The work at the station will continue for several months.
All affected customers have been notified via a telephone message.
