The chicken breasts not cooked were sold in packages of 1.6 kilogram. The expiration date is 19 July 2019 and the universal product code is 0 69299 11703 5.

The canadian food inspection agency (CFIA) announced on Friday evening, the reminder of the nuggets of chicken breasts breaded “Crunchy, delicious” due to possible contamination with Salmonella bacteria.

The chicken breasts not cooked were sold in packages of 1.6 kilogram. The expiration date is 19 July 2019 and the universal product code is 0 69299 11703 5.

They have been distributed by the company Sofina Foods in Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia and possibly in other provinces.

The products that are the subject of the recall should be discarded or returned to the store where they were purchased.

The recall follows an investigation by the CFIA on an outbreak of food-borne illness. The agency is continuing its investigation and could recall other products.

The symptoms of a poisoning with salmonella include : fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea, but complications can lead to severe arthritis.
