Eugenie Bouchard has joined its efforts with those of Sloane Stephens to defeat the duo of the Belgian Kirsten Flipkens and Australian Daria Gavrilova.
We were going to forget, but it’s still a Canadian at the tennis tournament Rogers Cup. And she will play at least another game.
The Canadian in question is Eugenie Bouchard who has united his efforts with those of the American Sloane Stephens to defeat the duo of the Belgian Kirsten Flipkens and Australian Daria Gavrilova 6-0, 6-4 in 59 minutes.
Given the busy schedule on Thursday, the match has been presented in the end of the afternoon on court number 5. In spite of everything, the seats were all occupied.
The two good friends, who seem to give off a beautiful complicity on the court, have reached the quarter-finals. They will, however, be an imposing challenge as they will battle to Latisha Chen, of Taiwan, and Ekaterina Makarova, of Russia, ranked second.
Bouchard and Stephens had taken part in three tournaments in doubles together this year, but had each time been elimination in the first round, including the Australian open.
However, their first experience together, in 2017, they had participated in the final of the tournament in Washington.
