Going to bat for Holocaust education

On Wednesday, Nov. 10, dignitaries, elected officers, distinguished enterprise individuals, and supporters attended the Voices for Fact and Humanity 2nd Annual Remembrance Awards Dinner honoring Marion and Elisha Wiesel, spouse and son of Holocaust survivor and Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel.

Collaborating in a panel dialogue on the state of Holocaust education moderated by famed information anchor Rita Cosby had been Public Service Award recipients Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, NY State Assemblyman Steve Stern, and education pioneer Dr. Lorna Lewis. The night’s shows bolstered the group’s mission to struggle hate by means of education by working for the adoption of a curriculum on the Holocaust, slavery, and all genocides in public faculties. Honored visitor Prime Minister Salih Hudayar of the East Turkistan Authorities in Exile spoke passionately concerning the atrocities being dedicated in opposition to the Uyghur individuals by the hands of the Chinese language authorities, and the outpouring of assist they’ve acquired from the Jewish neighborhood.
