Last night had been looted and desecrated the Holy virgin Church in the city of Chernomorsk.
About it reported in a press-service of the Odessa diocese, reports “Newsmir.info”.
So, the priests say that the attackers entered the Church through a door located on the back side of the building.
“In search of valuables, the criminals broke into all clubs for donations of parishioners and, perhaps, seeing that there are no expected them sums of money, anger began to destroy everything in the temple and the altar. In particular, the scoffer broke the altar door and leaving, filled the room with powder extinguishers located in the temple”, – reported in a press-service of the diocese.
At the scene working police officers.
“Unfortunately, we have to state that in 2017, none of the 19 robberies and desecration of churches has not been disclosed and the perpetrators were not punished. And now, in the new coming year, a wave of crimes and the desecration continues.
This trend suggests that in our region there are certain forces that seek to undermine established over the past decades, constructive interreligious situation in Odessa region.
We once ask you to look into this alarming situation not only of representatives of the National police, but also other competent bodies that should monitor the observance of law and order in our region, thwarting attempts to destabilize the socio-political situation in the Odessa region”, – said in the Odessa diocese.
