Knife-wielding crook swipes books and toys from Union Square Barnes & Noble

Cops are in search of a crook who robbed a Union Square bookstore at knifepoint final week.

In keeping with police, at 5:15 p.m. on Oct. 30 an unknown man entered Barnes & Noble, positioned at 33 East seventeenth Avenue, and took a canvas tote bag that was on the market on the retailer. The suspect proceeded to attempt and conceal an assortment of books and video games contained in the tote bag, valued collectively at $217, and tried to depart the shop with out paying.

When he was stopped by an worker, the suspect pulled out a knife and fled the shop eastbound on East 17 Avenue in direction of Park Avenue South. There have been no accidents reported on account of the incident.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned man with a skinny construct, standing 6 ft tall. He was final seen carrying a black patterned jacket that claims Valentino on the again, black pants, black sneakers, a black bucket hat and chains round his neck.
