A personal contractor died when the ditch he was digging in western New York collapsed and buried him, authorities mentioned.
The contractor was inside a 15-foot trench in the city of Chili when the wall collapsed and buried him shortly earlier than 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Capt. Dean Tuthill of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Workplace told the Democrat and Chronicle. The person, described as in his 50s, died on the scene. His title was not instantly launched.
It took emergency responders greater than seven hours to get well the person’s physique. Tuthill described the work to find and take away the physique as harmful and time-consuming.
