Natalia Korolevska: we have a sacred duty to take care of veterans and to honor the memory of their great feat

On the Day of liberation of Kiev the people’s Deputy from the OPPOSITION BLOC Nataliya Korolevska together with veterans, leaders of veterans ‘ organizations laid flowers to the grave of General Nikolai Vatutin and the Eternal flame in the Park of Eternal Glory in Kyiv.

“On this day, 75 years ago, the brave and courageous heroes liberated Kiev from Nazi invaders. Many of the liberators are no longer alive, but we will always keep in hearts the memory of their great feat. We also thank the living veterans, which left a bit, but they will always be an example to us of courage, fortitude and heroism,” said opposition Deputy Prime Minister.

Natalia Korolevska together with representatives of veterans ‘ organizations visited at the home of soldiers, of combatants of the great Patriotic war Vasily Semenovich Pecking and Michael Filonovich Shevchenko. The veterans shared their memories of military exploits and thanked the guests for their care, concern and consistent upholding of the rights of veterans.

“In the terrible years of war, our heroes-the liberators of the conquered world, and our task today is to make every effort to ensure that these people can live with dignity. Veterans need real support and social security we are fighting for the last four years. And once again, we call on the Parliament to unite and vote for all laws aimed at the resumption of social protection and support of veterans. Save true story, return of the heroes the respect and provide them with confidence in the future – we owe it to these people,” – said the MP.
