A New York City-based crime dramedy is now out there for streaming on Amazon.

“Discencumber” tells the story of two finest mates: Alex, a PhD candidate performed by Patrick Drunning, and Darren, an aspiring filmmaker performed by Jack Schrader. When the two run out of cash, the pair should determine what to do.

The film was directed by New York City’s Adam Ninyo, who shot the film guerilla-style all through the Higher West Aspect of Manhattan. Verdi Sq. and Riverside Park are amongst the many areas in New York City which can be prominently featured all through the film.

In the summer season of 2021, “Disencumber” was launched on Amazon Video by Highlight Function Movies, with extra platforms anticipated to observe. The film is supposed to concurrently be a love letter to and an indictment of a city that encourages hustle but makes it almost financially not possible to observe one’s dream – wrestling with combined emotions about the economics of the city – one thing that the younger solid and crew of struggling artists lend authenticity to.

“Disencumber” is offered for lease or buy on Amazon Video. Try the trailer for the film beneath.
