The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating a case of prison mischief at a Forest Hills home of worship in which a vandal threw a rock to deliberately injury its glass entrance door, based on authorities.

Police say that simply earlier than 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29, police from the 112th Precinct have been referred to as to Grace Lutheran Church, situated at 103-15 Union Tpke., after a person threw a rock and broken the church’s entrance door.

The NYPD on Jan. 30 launched surveillance video that caught the man in the act as he threw the rock at the door.

The bearded suspect has a light-weight complexion and wore a grey baseball cap, a pink long-sleeved shirt, black pants and grey sneakers.

The identical church, throughout from the northern fringe of Forest Park, was targeted by a vandal in the same assault in 2021, and a masked gunman robbed 4 parishioners at Grace Lutheran Church in the spring of 2011. In that incident, the armed robber obtained away with the sufferer’s wallets, police stated.
