Police investigating death of an infant who passed away in Brooklyn

The NYPD is investigating the death of an infant in Brooklyn on Wednesday morning. 

Based on police, at 9 a.m. on Nov. 17 police responded to a 911 name concerning an infant in want of assist on the Van Dyke Homes, situated at 429 Dumont Avenue. Upon their arrival, officers had been knowledgeable that 4-month-old Cairo Stenson had been taken to Brookdale Hospital by personal means as he was unconscious and unresponsive.

The infant was pronounced lifeless on the hospital. Right now, it’s not clear what occurred previous to being taken to the hospital, nonetheless the NYPD confirmed that there have been no apparent indicators of trauma. The Medical Examiner will decide the trigger of death.

A spokesperson for the NYPD acknowledged that Stenson had been positioned into foster care a month in the past and was beneath the care of a foster mom.
