Scientists have made a startling discovery: there exists a pill that could extend your life by 12 years. And this is a common analgesic ibuprofen.
In the course of several experiments have established that the tablet extends the life of fungi, worms and flies by 15%, writes Dr. Andrew Laszlo on its website.
For a man it is 12 additional years of life.
The mechanism of action of ibuprofen in prolonging life is being studied. Scientists suggest that this is due to eating foods rich in tryptophan such as eggs, chocolate and Turkey.
Ibuprofen is a relatively safe drug for the treatment of joint pain, colds and various inflammations.
It prevents the increased production of prostaglandin that is released during disease. Prostaglandin makes the nerves very sensitive to pain and causes tissue inflammation.
But like every medication, ibuprofen has its own conditions of reception, and side effects. That’s when it is better to abstain:
- if the blister packaging is damaged;
- if you suffer from stomach problems, liver or kidney;
- if there are irregularities in the respiratory tract;
- if you are allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin or other anti-inflammatory drugs;
- during pregnancy.
Also do not take the drug more than 3 days in a row, and never exceed the recommended dosage.
