A 54-year-old bodega employee on Staten Island was repeatedly bashed within the head with a glass bottle and choked unconscious by a robber who took as a lot as $3,000 from the register and ran off, authorities mentioned Wednesday.
In response to police, the attacker walked into the Victory Boulevard retailer round 5 a.m. Tuesday and began beating up the employee, Abdul Majeed. First, he hit Majeed just a few instances with the bottle, then threw him into the bottom and choked him till he blacked out, police say.
Majeed, a father of two, was seen on video preventing for his life as his blood smeared throughout hit attacker’s garments.
The person did not regain consciousness till the suspect was gone. He sought help and was taken to a hospital, the place he was handled for head lacerations.
Authorities launched surveillance footage of the battle. The suspect was seen in a child blue hooded sweatshirt.
