A widespread Verizon outage appeared to knock clients off the web from New York Metropolis to Baltimore Thursday morning.
In accordance with the location Outage Report, a surge in calls reporting outages started shortly after midnight and commenced to surge by 6 a.m.
Outage Report’s map of the complaints confirmed affected clients throughout New York Metropolis, Northern New Jersey, Lengthy Island, in addition to Philadelphia, D.C., Boston and Baltimore.
Complaints began to pour in over social media platforms Thursday morning, with clients questioning when their service could be restored.
Spokespeople for the corporate didn’t instantly return requests for remark. It wasn’t instantly clear what prompted the outage.
“We are aware there is an issue and do apologize for the inconvenience,” the corporate mentioned in a tweet. “Once there is an ETR and more information it will be updated via the My Fios app and on the website.”
