A girl in New York is now receiving mail from the distant previous — written by relations who’ve since handed away.
Carol Hover, who lives close to Rochester, says it began in early April. That is when she obtained a postcard written by her mom and dated 1960 — when her dad and mom have been on their honeymoon in Canada.
She has now acquired 5 items of mail, together with letters and one postcard despatched from New York Metropolis by her father in 1969.
There’s no definitive reply as to why the mail was delivered many years late.
USPS says in conditions like these, the letters are normally discovered by somebody or purchased at a flea market or vintage store, after which deposited in a set field.
